ART FLOW is a growing art project that is gradually evolving. From 2023 to 2025, around 24 site-specific works have been created for the Limmat Valley. The area between Zurich’s Bellevue and the Wasserschloss in Aargau is the focus of a wide variety of artistic interventions.
The artworks are open to the public and invite visitors to discover the Limmat Valley.
For ART FLOW Karin Sander has developed the 7 metre light sculpture Point of Interest. It was installed on the roof of a high-rise building near Escher-Wyss-Platz, Zurich. Usually a Point of Interest stands for addresses of commercial, cultural or tourist interest and is intended to help Internet users navigate through the world. In a way, the magnifying glass has become synonymous with digital topography. Now this graphic symbol becomes a real, seven-metre-high light sculpture in Zurich for almost a year – and thus a “point of interest” itself. “Point of Interest” is intended to encourage people to think about the use of digital media.
