étrangement proche / seltsam vertraut
Saarlandmuseum

12.06.2004 – 08.08.2004
Group Exhibition

Saarlandmuseum Saarbrücken
Saarbrücken, Germany

The exhibition includes various artistic media, from painting and sculpture to photography and video, as well as process-oriented and conceptual approaches, but always in significant proximity to the project's question. Individual artists will also realize site-specific works especially for the exhibition.

The project has been initiated by Peter Müller, the cultural plenipotentiary and Minister President of the Saarland, and Jean-Jacques Aillagon, the former French Minister for Culture and Communication. The latter has appointed Fabrice Hergott, director of the Strasbourg museums, as chief curator of the exhibition. Ralph Melcher is responsible for the German part, and Sandra Cattini for the French.
